Manufacturing Engineer - Fastening Engineer

Position Description:

• The Fastening Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing fastening solutions for automotive components.
• This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting analysis, and ensuring the quality and reliability of fastening systems in vehicle assembly.

• Experience in fastening technologies, joining methods, materials, fastener design, testing, and implementation
• Knowledge of automotive engineering principles and materials
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work on-site in Dearborn, MI
• Travel required - outside of SE Michigan

• Self-starting, self-motivated with very good influential, organizational, and communication skills
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to handle technical aspects of the position
• Familiarity with statistical software: Minitab, Q-DAS

• 2 or more years experience in Manufacturing Engineering

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

• Masters degree in Engineering

• The position will be Hybrid.
• Mainly in the Dearborn area but will require work in our plants across North America (travel required).
• Travel should be about 10-20%, depends on installation issues and program install timing.
