We are seeking a General Manager (GM) for our Ross Downing CDJR Dealership who will be responsible for overseeing all dealership operations, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction, and driving profitability. The GM will lead a team of dedicated sales professionals, manage financial performance, and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Provide strategic leadership to all dealership departments, including sales, service, parts, and finance.
Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork, professional growth, and employee satisfaction.
Set clear performance expectations and implement development plans for staff.
Operational Management:
Ensure the dealership operates efficiently and effectively, meeting all performance metrics and standards.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and tracking vehicles.
Implement and maintain dealership policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and manufacturer guidelines.
Financial Performance:
Develop and manage the dealership's budget, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
Analyze financial statements and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Oversee the preparation of regular financial reports for ownership/management review.
Sales and Marketing:
Drive sales performance through effective marketing and promotional strategies, ensuring competitive positioning in the market.
Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales processes.
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in automotive dealership management, with a proven track record of success.
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
In-depth understanding of dealership operations, financial management, and sales processes.
Proficient in dealership management software and other relevant technologies.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
Ability to upkeep confidentiality as needed.
