KidStrong General Managers are the leaders of the center – it is the responsibility of the General Manager to foster a culture of learning and development for both their Coaches and the Families that attend the center. The General Manager is a talented, welcoming, and engaging leader who is focused on defining goals and delivering an exceptional experience for the kids, families, and team members. The goal of the General Manager is to develop and train their coaching team, build the culture of their center through interacting with families and managing center operations, and to deliver amazing classes.

Responsibilities:Coaching

Coach students by delivering and executing a world-class program developed by the HQ Team that focuses on Brain, Physical, and Character development for age groups ranging from 15 months - 11 years old. Minimum of 12 hours a week and on an as-needed basis.

Create positive interactions with students and families before, during, and after class.

Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading class.

Achieve Coach Certification through the HQ Training and Certification team.

Understand the “why” behind the KidStrong curriculum and be able to clearly and concisely communicate it.

Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various programming and curriculum elements.

Use the KS Coaches App to record data and provide data (attendance, awards, etc.).

Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers.

Ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum.

Work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lift and repeatedly move equipment up to 50 pounds in weight.

Be comfortable physically working with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.

Assist parents of students, ages 3 and younger, with the direction and flow of a class.

Lead weekly center staff programming meetings where staff receive training for the following week's programming.

Complete trainings through LearnUpon as required by the HQ Training and Certification team.

Fill in for sister centers per operational need for the territory.

Leadership

Continuously assess and document performance of Coaches.

Achieve General Manager Certification through HQ certification team.

Set and communicate Coach schedules using appropriate scheduling and communication platforms.

Build and maintain relationships with KidStrong families to align with our core values (Families do not leave KidStrong).

Recruit, screen, interview, onboard, manage, train, and evaluate coaching candidates.

Monitor and ensure staffing levels are met while continually recruiting future talent.

Ensure candidates complete all paperwork to be in compliance with company policy and law.

Lead training practicals for new coaching candidates.

Lead coaching candidates through the training process and required evaluations.

Ensure coaching evaluations are up to date on a 30/60/90 model.

Develop coaches through formal feedback sessions on a weekly basis.

Manage and support ongoing professional development of staff through LearnUpon.

Attend monthly HQ programming rollout calls to learn ensuing month's programming.

Attend monthly HQ Nation Head Coaching call.

Lead center-level programming rollout and train staff on next month's programming.

Attend weekly leadership meetings with Raleigh Territory AD’s & leaders.

Center Operations

Basic understanding of the center’s financials to make informed and responsible business decisions.

Assist in the execution of community events as necessary.

Drive membership sales through high-volume outbound phone calls on inbound leads (50 - 100 calls a day).

Ensure seamless process for observations, trials, and enrollments to close sales opportunities.

Proactively source partnerships and corporate sales opportunities.

Oversee center-level initiatives i.e. center maintenance, trainings, brand consistency etc.

Daily, Weekly, and Monthly cleaning and maintenance of the center.

Partner with center leaders on needs, KPIs, class ratings, and overall center performance, including weekly meetings with your center’s operations specialist.

Provide excellent customer service to families and handle their needs when in center.

Create and implement quarterly community engagement plans to drive lead generation and support brand awareness.

Manage center-level employee issues and manage appropriate documentation.

Typical schedule includes 4 weekdays (11a to 8p) and 1 weekend day (8:45a to 5:45p with specific hours being dependent on the needs of the center). Rotating weekend days to ensure all members are given attention.

Learn and manage your center’s KidStrong Camp - special classes held by centers when local schools are not operating (example: Winter Break, Summer Break, School Track Out and Holidays).

Host 2 Parents nights out a month.

Be the sales champion for birthday parties on the weekend.

Source, organize, and attend local grassroots marketing events to increase memberships and trials.

Payroll, scheduling, time and attendance for center.

Skills/Qualifications

Passion for working with children is non-negotiable.

Athletic or coaching background with experience working with or coaching kids ages 15 months - 11 years old.

Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding a variety of topics.

Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not required.

Previous experience in management is preferred but not required.

Practical work experience with Google and Microsoft platforms.

Previous experience with systems and platforms such as ZenPlanner, HubSpot, Sales Messenger, LearnUpon, CareerPlug, ADP, and Ooma is preferred but not required.

Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on KidStrong curriculum is preferred.

Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics.

CPR certified (can obtain within 90 days of employment).

Self-starter who just gets the job done.

Compensation$45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year plus bonus
