Portex is building a procurement and payment operating system for the $4 trillion logistics industry - the backbone of the global economy. We’re building simple yet revolutionary freight procurement, payment and financing products to help businesses realize pricing efficiency and transparency in global trade.

Now our #1 priority is building a repeatable sales motion to consistently scale our customer base each month. This is an opportunity to join in a founding role for the GTM function and help shape how it's built from the ground up.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Account Executive, someone who will take charge of the full funnel to deliver results and create the outbound playbook. The ideal candidate has operated both at a freight brokerage and excelled in an early stage B2B startup, specifically in the formative phases prior to achieving $1M-5M ARR. We are looking for someone who has deep industry expertise and can apply that knowledge to create a scalable sales motion. Note that this role is hybrid, with an expectation of 1 week a month in the Mission Bay (San Francisco) office. What you'll do Refine ICP and build segment specific outbound strategies Test and identify the most effective messaging and product positioning Execute the full sales cycle: outbound prospecting, demos, account management Create customer success workflows to retain customers and grow wallet share Build a strong customer feedback loop to ensure our product evolves to meet customer needs Close at least 5 mid-market customers per month by your second month at Portex Define how we can scale growth 20% per month and playbook repeatable processes Qualifications Previous experience working in a pre-Series A B2B venture, whether that be an early-stage company or your own business Experience in supply chain/logistics Full stack sales experience: from outbound prospecting and lead generation all the way through to demos and closing deals Proven track record of exceeding metrics within high-uncertainty / low-structure environments Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while consistently assessing what to prioritize and deprioritize Self-starter who’s intrinsically motivated and does well with ambiguity Experience with Salesforce and Outreach (or equivalent); excited to experiment with new Sales tools
