Job DescriptionTAX ANALYSTTax | Santa Clara, CA, United StatesThe OpportunityChegg is looking for an on-site Tax Analyst to join its team. This position will be responsible for a wide range of federal, multi-state, and international income tax functions, including tax compliance, tax credits and incentives, and tax provision. This position reports to the Senior Tax Manager.The ResponsibilitiesPreparation of quarterly consolidated tax provision/memosPreparation of quarterly estimated federal, state income and franchise tax paymentsGathering information for the federal consolidated tax return and corresponding state income tax returnsReview of state income and franchise tax returnsGeneral federal, state and international tax research as neededAssistance with the reports and analysis for the quarterly consolidated tax provisionAssistance with federal and state notices and audit responsesAssist the international tax team with cross-border tax issues, including but not limited to VAT/GST complianceAssistance with tax mail handling and processingProvide support on corporate tax projects: i.e. research and development credit computations and surveysProvide support on cross-department ad hoc projectsQualificationsMinimum 2 years of relevant tax experience in Big 4, and/or equivalent industry experienceBA/BS in accounting, finance, or business administrationCPA desired but not requiredSuperior Microsoft Excel skills, NetSuite experience a plusAbility to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize simultaneouslyAbility to expand knowledge and understand and integrate business objectives with tax strategiesMust have the ability to work effectively as part of a team yet function well with independent responsibilitiesThe pay range for this position is $81,885 to $152,07. The actual pay will vary based on geographic location, job requirements, professional experience, and other factors.
