in Charlotte, NC.Atrium Health Musculoskeletal Institute is seeking an
experienced Physician Assistant (PA)
to join our dynamic team in the
Orthopedic Urgent Care
setting. This role offers an excellent opportunity to practice autonomously while making a significant impact on a new service line. The ideal candidate is quality-driven, experienced in orthopedics, and ready to deliver exceptional patient care. This role provides flexible hours! Atrium Health's Musculoskeletal Institute (MSKI) is one of the largest Musculoskeletal programs in the country. We have an extensive network of physicians within the institute including spine, ortho, primary care sports medicine, physical medicine, and rehabilitation.Details about the opportunity:Outpatient setting with independent scheduleFull time opportunity with variable rotation hours
M-F 5pm-9pm; Saturday 9am-2pm (with rotation)
Ability to perform joint and/or fracture reductions, splinting, bracing, casting, orthopedic injections/aspirations, and local wound care.Ability to independently interpret x-rays and advanced diagnostic imaging.No call coverageResponsibilities:Work independently in the orthopedic urgent care setting, with on-call physician backup.Provide acute orthopedic care to patients ages 14 and older.Staff a minimum of 20 hours per week at Orthopedic Urgent Care.Utilize remaining 20 hours per week flexibly within our float pool, including OR First Assist and daytime clinic duties.No on-call responsibilities, promoting excellent work-life balance.Perform joint and fracture reductions, splinting, bracing, casting, orthopedic injections/aspirations, and local wound care.Independently interpret x-rays and advanced diagnostic imaging.Schedule:Full-time position with flexible hours. Physician Assistant
