The UberEats Feed is a crucial interface for users and merchants, facilitating the discovery of restaurants and grocery stores. As part of this role, the individual will innovate and implement advanced recommendation models tailored for Uber's specific use cases. Responsibilities include designing and constructing large-scale machine learning systems to enhance the HomeFeed Recommendation and improving the underlying ML Quality Model Serving foundation. The position also involves collaboration with various stakeholders and leading a team of skilled machine learning engineers and scientists to execute impactful projects.Required Qualifications and Skills
A PhD or Master's degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics is required, along with a minimum of 8 years of industry experience focused on machine learning and recommendation systems. Candidates should have expertise in deep learning and optimization algorithms, as well as experience with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow. Proficiency in one or more programming languages, notably Python, Java, Go, or C++, is necessary, along with familiarity with data processing technologies such as Spark, Hive, Kafka, and Cassandra.
