Description
As a Software Engineer in Test, you will work in a multi-functional team responsible for projects such as SpringBoard. You will work closely with software engineers, project managers, and other Apple quality teams to ensure the highest quality in the next generation of Apple's operating systems through continuous integration testing. A mix of manual testing supplemented by automated suites will help ensure scale while focusing on larger projects and small UI details.
Key QualificationsExperience writing code in Objective C or Swift to test an API, SDK, or FrameworksExperience writing and triaging automated software tests (e.g., unit-tests, regression tests, functional tests, stress tests)Experience in developing test plans, assessing risk, filing appropriate bugs, and consolidating bug reportsExperience in driving development and deployment of relevant testing tools and infrastructureExperience with XCTest and XcodeDetail-oriented, analytical, and creative problem solver with a passion for quality processesAbility to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolutionAbility to work independently, raise issues, and take corrective actionKeen eye for detail

Education & ExperienceBS or MS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $55.64 and $83.75/hr, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs and are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards. Benefits include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounts on products and services, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses.This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
