Director Corporate Security

What We'll Bring:This position is a Chicago based leader who can grow and positively impact security and risk management programs across the globe. The Director will develop, support, administer and assist with the implementation of TransUnion's global security risk management strategy and associated security programs. This position will help shape the growth and development of an enterprise-wide program to safeguard the company's critical assets - employees, facilities, operations, and reputation - across the world. This role will be the liaison between global corporate security, regional management, and external organizations for support protection of all assets.An additional key component of the job is the ability to develop regional threat intelligence to assist in mitigation of events and protection of executives and associates throughout the world. The role requires domestic and international travel. We are seeking someone who approaches things strategically and has the business acumen and executive presence to successfully build relationships and positively influence others. Strong collaboration skills, likely driven by experience working with diverse teams, are required. A background in the public and/or private sector with a solid network of resources will additionally set you apart.What You'll Bring:15+ years' experience as a safety/security leader in government, corporate or a combination of bothA strong network of corporate and government security contacts and intelligence resources, including local and federal law enforcement intelligence community, such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, CIA, Homeland Security, Secret Service, State Department Diplomatic Service, and joint terrorism task forcesAdvanced industry knowledge or professionally recognized certifications in security managementSpecific leadership experience and expertise in crisis management and resilience business continuity programsProven ability to engage effectively with senior, executive leadership; able to build stakeholder relationships via strong interpersonal skillsExperience building diverse teams and demonstrated focus on enabling diversity in the workplaceDemonstrated experience in executive protection, investigation, physical security, event security, threat management, and global intelligenceThe ability to travel, within and outside of the United States, up to 40%-50% of the timeExperience living (for 1+ years) in an environment outside of the United States, leading people and security programsProficiency in a foreign language; formal training in a foreign languageEligibility for issuance of a U.S. Government security clearanceAbility to operate strategically, autonomously, but collaboratively, in accordance with organizational goals and prioritiesExperience with Global Security Operations Center (GSOC)Impact You'll Make:The Director of Global Security reports to the Vice President of Global Corporate Security and is a strategic senior leader, responsible for direction and strategy across multiple functional areas and departments.Address problems and issues critical to life-safety and business enablement across Europe, Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific and multi-functional operations.Dedicate significant time to attract, develop and retain talent, enabling senior leaders to build and implement institutional global, corporate security programs such as crisis management, executive protection, risk assessment methodology, travel and event security, learning and development, safety & security governance and compliance, regional and global risk-based program implementation, and more.Influence and promote a strategy to optimize and build out the global security function in line with TransUnion's global footprint, risk exposure, risk appetite, organizational requirements, and business priorities as well as best practice, industry standards and applicable regulations.Oversee the design and implementation of security programs, including uniformed security officers, investigations, threat management, intelligence, training, case management, and education/awareness programs.Research innovative security systems and technology solutions to design and oversee organization-wide coverage and efficiency.Develop and manage the capital and expense budget for the organization's security operations and technologies.Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.Develop and maintain strategic and close relationships with municipal authorities, local public safety departments, high-level law enforcement, and intelligence and private sector counterparts.This job is assigned as On-Site Essential and requires in-person work at an assigned TU office location as a condition of employment.Benefits:TransUnion provides flexible benefits including flexible time off for exempt associates, paid time off for non-exempt associates, tuition reimbursement, additional (following any short-term disability) 10 weeks of parental leave with gradual return, adoption assistance, fertility coverage, spousal and domestic partner benefits, charity gift matching, employee stock purchase plan, retirement contributions with employer match, organizational growth potential through our online learning platform with guided career tracks, and access to TransUnion's Employee Resource Groups.We are committed to being a place where diversity is not only present, it is embraced.
