ResponsibilitiesThe individual selected for this position will serve as a Counterintelligence Officer (Junior). The role and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:Conducting and/or supporting CI/Counter Terrorism (CT) investigations across the DOE complex.Working closely with the FBI and the USIC to assist in any ongoing espionage, terrorism, or related operations and investigations at responsible facilities.Serving as liaison and interface with DOE facility management and local law enforcement agencies surrounding the assigned facility.Providing case-related updates to the Senior Counterintelligence Officer (SCIO), facilities senior management and other DOE CI executives.Providing CI/CT defensive briefings and debriefings to Departmental personnel in foreign intelligence and terrorist activities/threats.Serving as primary point of contact with scientific community departments within the DOE complex for the purpose of proactively mitigating foreign intelligence and terrorist activities/threats.

QualificationsMust possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.Must possess or be able to obtain a Q clearance.Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a CI Officer/Agent conducting typical CI program activities to include CI inquiries and/or espionage investigations.Experience as a case agent in counterintelligence case management at DOE, the FBI or DOD and must have basic interviewing and elicitation techniques.Demonstrated evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, and proven ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.Functional computer literacy and be proficient in common computer and network applications.BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2 from an accredited university or college, preferably in a field related to geopolitical/ national security studies, science, engineering, English, foreign languages, or social sciences is highly desirable.Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements.

Equal Pay ActThis is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
