We promote an inclusive work environment that creates feel-good moments for everyone.Job Description: This position will reside within Global Strategic Sourcing Services (GSSS) group within the McDonald’s Global Supply Chain organization. GSSS is a dynamic team that contributes directly to the bottom-line performance of the company, consulting with leaders throughout the organization to support initiatives that are driving McDonald’s into the future. The leader in this role will be responsible for strategy development and execution, initiating and cultivating stakeholder relationships and establishing and prioritizing activities to achieve objectives. The Technology Strategic Sourcing Manager reports to the Director, IT Global Strategic Sourcing Services and will work closely with other team members, critical cross functional departments, and team members at McDonald’s HQ and in markets throughout the world.Responsibilities:Leverage curiosity and resources to establish new stakeholder relationships, understand needs and establish strategies to problem solveDevelop category strategies and execution plans, through team member collaborationReconcile business objectives and priorities with category objectives and prioritiesAdvise approach for the selection of a particular good or service, based on a variety of factors including cost/benefit, category & business portfolio strategies & business objectivesAdvise partners on and/or negotiate commercial and operational termsDevelop negotiation plan to ensure terms are achieved with the supplier selectedAdvise team members on comprehensive and legally binding agreement for the goods and servicesRegularly refresh applicable risk evaluationsOwn and approve savings reported figures with support from Center of Excellence support functionDevelops and furthers strategic and operational relationships at Officer Level and below to advance cross functional business priority alignment, GSSS vision and overall value offeringCommunicate results to stakeholder partnersDevelop and monitor the pipeline of open initiatives across business areas (planned and unplanned) to forecast and manage sourcing operations resources and benefitsQualifications:4-year accredited degree required, Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or STEM fields preferred, MBA a plus.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategic sourcing or commensurate experience in related functionsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Customer first mentality with a passion to lead growth and continuous improvementAbility to solve ambiguous problems, passion for driving plans independently and willingness to shift approach based on stakeholder needs and flex to support the team.Ability to develop important partner relationships and influence both internally and externally to provide McDonald’s with the highest value goods and servicesUses internal and external network/sources to leverage best practices and tackle problemsProven understanding of sourcing standard processes, including supplier negotiations, selection, evaluation, management, and developmentStrong analytical competence with ability to synthesize complex information and articulate in a concise manner, translating into business recommendations, with a high level of completeness and accuracyProficient communication skills: ability to create, adjust and present both written and verbal communications to varying audiences in a confident, clear and concise mannerAbility to focus attention on what matters most, re-prioritizing often to support dynamic business needsModels McDonald’s values (Serve, Inclusion, Integrity, Community, Family) in ways of working
