Foley & Lardner is seeking a mid-level associate with 2-4 years of business litigation experience to join the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group in our Los Angeles office.Ideal candidate will have substantial experience with complex business litigation in state and federal courts, including:Conducting and managing written and document discoveryResearching and drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filingsConducting/defending depositionsPreparing witnesses for testimonyAppearing for status conferencesArguing motions in both state and federal courtParticipation in settlement conferences and negotiations, and experience with trial preparation, is also preferred. We are seeking a well-rounded, dynamic, highly motivated lawyer, who has demonstrated an ability to thrive in a busy, collegial environment, to assist with advancing the long-term strategic objectives of the Litigation Department. AmLaw 100 experience preferred. Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.To be considered, a candidate must hold a J.D. from an ABA-approved law school and be in good standing and an active member of the California Bar. Pursuant to the California Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act, the expected salary range for this Los Angeles based position is between $240,000 - $310,000 annually.
