This is a per diem/casual position working on an 8-hr shift schedule, starting at 8:30am with occasional Saturdays. Training will be full time hours for about 3 weeks. dermatology .Oversee 12 Medical Assistants working with 2-4 surgeons and 2 physician assistants.Be part of a team ensuring Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.What you'll do:Be responsible for clinical flow, locally anesthetizing patients, assisting with procedures such as Mohs, biopsies, excisions, full body skin exams, in-person and telephone triage, conducting patient education, suture removals and wound care.Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration.Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
