71000 - 0820 North County CSU/RespiteThis position may have a signing bonus available; a member of the Recruitment Team will confirm eligibility during the interview process.Responsibilities:Management of the day-to-day operations of the assigned program(s) consistent with the agency mission, policies, procedures and with applicable laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and other applicable standards.Provide culturally competent leadership to the program.Provide and/or assign clinical and administrative supervision to staff and evaluate their performance.Foster and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and represent CHL at all local and statewide meetings, coalitions, payers, and other stakeholder events. Develop pathways to and from community providers to support access to care for clients.Manage the program's case assignment, admissions, transfers, and discharges.Maintain system for chart audits consistent with applicable agency, accreditation, and regulatory standards.Ensure quality of required program documentation.Provide training on evidence-based practices and relevant subjects including customer service, systems of care, internal programs, and resources. Maintain compliance with program specific training topics and needs.Establish and maintain relationships with internal programs and departments to promote collaboration and communication throughout the agency.Standard Management Level Responsibilities:Direct and supervise assigned personnel including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training. Make recommendations on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Resolve grievances and other personnel problems within position responsibilities.Develop and recommend the budgets for the programs managed. Manage activities to assure financial goals are met.Coordinate the assignment of tasks and help resolve technical and operational problems. Evaluate the impact of solutions to ensure goals are achieved.Provide effective direction, guidance, and leadership over the staff for effective teamwork and motivation; foster the effective integration of efforts with system-wide initiatives.Encourage and support diverse views and approaches, demonstrate Standards of Respect, and contribute to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, respect, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients, and visitors.Integrate diversity into departmental objectives, such as hiring, promotions, training, vendor selections, etc.Participate in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrate the use of quality improvement in daily operations.Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies such as DPH (Department of Public Health), DMH (Department of Mental Health), etc. Develop and maintain procedures necessary to meet regulatory requirements.Ensure that programs comply with agency established policies, quality improvement initiatives, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.Ensure adequate equipment and supplies for department.Develop and maintain established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and requirements.Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.Perform similar or related duties as required or directed. All responsibilities are essential job functions.Qualifications:Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health field: psychology, social work, mental health counseling, or marriage and family therapy.Some programs may require independent licensure including LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist.Preferred:Licensed Addiction and Drug Counselor (LADC) may be preferred.Experience/Skills:Required:Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.Knowledge of community behavioral health operations.Knowledge of clinical treatment and/or crisis management with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorder.Effective communication with consumers, staff, peers, and other professionals.Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills.Preferred:Strong organizational and delegation skills.Ability to identify priority tasks in fast-paced environments.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.We're striving to make respect a part of everything we do at UMass Memorial Health - for our patients, our community and each other.
