Who are we looking for?
SkyTouch Technology is an early innovator of cloud-based, mobile-enabled property management system (PMS) solutions for the hospitality industry. Over the last 10+ years, our PMS software, SkyTouch Hotel OS, has been successfully implemented in over 6,500 properties worldwide. We are looking for a seasoned hands-on Engineering leader with a technological mindset to apply for our Manager, Software Engineering position.
Your Responsibilities
Delivery:
Engages actively in software development and conducts code reviews pertinent to the necessary skills.
Offers technical leadership to up to three SkyTouch agile teams, steering architecture, design, and code quality.
Ensures ongoing communication with project teams, confirming alignment of design and development.
Establishes and encourages best practices to foster ongoing enhancement of resilience, quality, scalability, and performance.
Foresees future technological requirements based on business needs and evaluates new technologies.
Team Leadership:
Manages staffing levels according to technical skills and business roadmap.
Engages actively in the interview and hiring processes.
Sets reasonable stretch goals for performance and conducts performance appraisals.
Promotes the adoption of established design patterns and best practices.
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in development technologies such as Java EE, JavaScript, HTML, and AWS cloud services.
At least 7 years of experience in developing high-volume applications and 3 years in a technical leadership role.
Solid grasp of front-end development frameworks such as Spring MVC, Angular, or React.
Experience with both relational and non-relational databases.
Your Team
This is a leadership role that reports to the Domain Owner, Software Engineering and provides technical leadership to teams of Software and Test Engineers.
Your Work Location
As our Manager, Software Engineering, you will be based in our technology hub in Scottsdale, AZ.
