We are currently seeking a meticulous and proactive In-House Accountant to join our team and manage our financial operations.

Job Summary:

As an In-House Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s financial records, processing payroll, and ensuring the accuracy of our accounting systems. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported, supporting the smooth running of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management:

Process and manage staff wages, including accurate payroll calculations, tax deductions, and timely payments.

Invoicing:

Generate and manage customer invoices, ensure timely collection of payments, and handle any invoice-related queries.

Supplier Account Management:

Oversee supplier accounts, including processing payments, reconciling supplier statements, and resolving any discrepancies.

Ledger Maintenance:

Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.

QuickBooks Management:

Regularly update and maintain QuickBooks, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.

Reconciliations:

Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.

Financial Reporting:

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Tax Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and assist with the preparation of tax returns.

Audit Support:

Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.

Other Accountancy Duties:

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other ad hoc financial projects as required.

Qualifications:

Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is preferred.

Proven experience as an accountant, ideally in an in-house role.

Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Pay: £12.00-£15.00 per hour
