Program Coordinator

The Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation, Inc. is seeking to fill the position of Program Coordinator. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.The Program Coordinator will direct the maintenance and control of the day-to-day operations of the Foundation’s Scholarship Program and Community Assistance Awards Program. Responsibilities include:Assisting the Program/Scholarship Committee with its annual scholarship applications process.Serving as a liaison to Regional Coordinators, scholarship and award applicants, members, and donors.Supporting EAF staff at special events as needed.Creating forms, applications, and program marketing materials.Supervising temporary/occasional employees assigned to assist with scholarship process/awards.Must have the ability to make independent decisions while enforcing the Foundation’s policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner. The candidate should be able to work collaboratively on projects from conception to completion, manage a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion, and work under pressure. Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and graphic design software, such as Canva, is a plus. A written proficiency exam may be required.The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.About EAF:The Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation, Inc.
