In this position, you will join a team of computer vision and machine learning researchers and engineers to discover and build solutions to previously-unsolved challenges and push the state of the art. We are looking for a driven and dedicated computer vision/machine learning engineer or researcher, optimally with experience in 3D computer vision algorithms, such as object detection, pose estimation, generative models, or tracking. You'll be working in a team of computer vision and machine learning researchers and engineers to implement world class algorithms that push the state of the art. Your job responsibilities will include:Inventing and implementing state of the art computer vision algorithms to solve cutting edge problemsDesigning such algorithms to work reliably and efficiently on mobile devicesCollaborating with other teams in software and hardware to ensure the full pipeline runs efficiently and utilizes Apple hardware effectivelyCooperating with your team members to prepare presentations, papers, and talks to explain your inventions
Minimum Qualifications
Over 8 years of experience and a PhD degree, or 10 years with a MS degreeStrong track record of leadership and successfully delivering products at scaleStrong experience in 3D Computer Vision algorithmsExperience in machine learning, preferably in 3D computer vision applicationsSolid foundation in 3D geometry and linear algebraGood experience in Python and science libraries like Numpy, Pandas, MatplotlibSolid in deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlowExperience in C++ is a big bonusExperience in 3D graphics and rendering is a big plusSensor fusion experience is a big bonusExcellent communication and collaboration skillsExcellent problem solving and analytical thinking skillsTrack record of successfully building and shipping products or open source projectsCreativity and curiosity for solving highly complex problems

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $207,800 and $378,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
