Position Summary

This Assistant District Attorney position is a full-time position to be filled in the District Attorney’s office for Clark County, located in Neillsville, WI. This is a State position in the unclassified service. Clark County is a quaint community in North Central Wisconsin, but under an hour from Eau Claire, Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids. This is a small office making a big impact in rural Wisconsin, consisting of the District Attorney, an Assistant District Attorney, two legal assistants, an office manager/paralegal, and a victim witness coordinator. The Assistant District Attorney will be assigned their own legal assistant. Through vertical prosecution, the Assistant District Attorney is able to create great working relationships with local law enforcement agencies, the courts, and defense counsel. Caseload may allow for specialization in certain areas. Some remote work will be allowed. In addition, at least half of your State Bar Dues are paid by Clark County. The starting salary for the Assistant District Attorney (schedule/range 20-75) position will be $76,378 annually ($36.72 per hour).Job Details

Attorneys who are currently employed by the State of Wisconsin are invited to apply and may be able to transfer at their current pay rate. Attorneys who have left the position of Wisconsin elected District Attorney or Assistant District Attorney within the last five years may be able to be hired at a wage rate above the minimum.Qualifications
