Associate Director/Director, Program Management, Drug DevelopmentPosition SummaryWe are seeking a Director, Program Management to support one or more cross-functional early development and clinical stage programs. This individual will report to the SVP, Program & Portfolio Management and will work closely with Program Teams and relevant subteams to support the progress of programs and enable delivery of key R&D goals. The ideal candidate has worked in a small startup biotech environment, has a good working level of drug development knowledge, is operationally efficient, and is savvy with program management, timeline, and MS Office 365 tools. We are looking for a self-starter who is a team player, communicates clearly, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while also interested in elevating their drug development knowledge. This position is hybrid with a Tues – Thurs on-site requirement. We are located in the vibrant Boston south end neighborhood.ResponsibilitiesPartner with Program Team Leader to facilitate and co-lead program team meetings, create effective meeting agendas and minutes.Establish a working relationship with team members by collaborating outside of meetings to follow up on key action items, learn of potential issues, and take steps towards resolution.Propose and create effective communication tools for proper sharing of program information (SharePoint, program-specific portals, etc.) if appropriate.Support subteams and program teams by creating and maintaining functional (if needed) and integrated program timelines to registration.Support the teams in preparing for governance meetings.Work with the Program Team Leader, functional teams, and finance team to understand program budget and variances. Support development of annual program budget.Other program-related support as they may arise.Support the Head of Portfolio & Program Management in building a high-performing PM group, bringing best practices and tools into the working of teams across the organization.RequirementsBA/BS in a relevant science field, graduate degree preferred.Min 5+ years of experience in Program Management or an adjacent role in biotech. Overall experience in the industry 7+ years.Basic drug development knowledge in preclinical and clinical development.Experience working in small and startup biotech companies is required.Expertise and proficiency with timeline management tools required (Smartsheet, MS Project, etc.).Ability to work and influence cross-functionally within R&D.Critical thinking/problem-solving.Clear and effective communication skills.Highly organized work habits and attention to detail.About PepGenPepGen Inc. is a clinical-stage biotechnology company advancing the next generation of oligonucleotide therapies with the goal of transforming the treatment of severe neuromuscular and neurological diseases.
