PMO - Project Director

Given the numerous transformation projects in Global Supply Chain (GSC) North America (NAM), we need to establish a robust Project Management Office to oversee the following:Project Governance:

Track and prioritize major projects based on business priorities and resource availabilityMaintain project roadmap for ongoing and future projects to manage resource needs and prioritiesEstablish project governance based on project size and criticalityEnsure timely project reviews and stage gate validationsStandardize project management practices and reporting structureEstablish a 'Centre of Excellence' for project management best practicesMonitor compliance with policies and standardsProvide executive leaders with project assessment information and interface with them on project priorities and challengesProject Management:Ensure projects meet defined timelines and budgetsSupport project managers in addressing progress-hindering issuesAllocate appropriate resources for each projectInvolve and inform all necessary stakeholdersEnsure compliance with mandatory processesManage staffing in line with project objectivesDelegate work to Project Managers & Program ManagersSet and review performance targets for individuals and the teamManage risk, issue, and change resolution processes and take corrective action as neededOversee timely and within-budget delivery of projects/programs by Project ManagersResource Management:Keep track of resource needs and availability of resources to manage project prioritizationAnticipate needs for future and make resources available according to those needsMake sure that we are providing necessary training to resources according to project needsPeople Development:Use the assignments under PMO to train & develop our key talentsMake sure to periodically rotate the people in & out of PMO to plants and other functionsIdentify people with strong leadership and good executionLead cross-functional projects and assist the North America (NAM) Supply Chain (SC) head in handling crucial topics and projects.Undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering or Supply Chain OR degree in business/project managementMinimum 15-years of experience in a Supply Chain environment of a multinational corporationStrong experience in Supply Chain management of technical commodityDeep understanding of manufacturing and project managementClear understanding of the Schneider Electric industrial policies and practiceExperience in driving strong & successful execution of projectAt ease in functional reporting (dotted/dual line reporting) as well as hierarchical mode (direct/solid line) in large matrix organizationsWhy us?At Schneider Electric we're committed to creating a workplace that gives you not just a job but a
