If this describes you, we encourage you to apply today.Some things you can expect to do:Interface closely with all Field Coordinators, project Field Managers and employees to implement the corporate safety program.Serve as technical advisor to Corporate Management and Field Supervision.Contribute to the corporate safety and health program management, design, and continual improvement.Monitor construction activities and advise management on compliance with applicable regulatory rules, regulations and/or laws.Assist with the company safety training curriculum to include development of training courses and teaching of training sessions.Oversee and assure the overall compliance of the Lockout/Tagout Program and National Electrical Code: NFPA 70E requirements.Program and establish acceptance criteria for authorizing Method of Procedure (MOP) involving LOTO procedures.Implement learnings, provide consistency, and drive rigor into the LOTO program to ensure all programs meet or exceed company, client, and regulatory requirements.Utilize local code and standards as the foundation for the energy isolation program that is implemented throughout the campus.In coordination with Engineering, Commissioning and Subcontractor Team Members, establish a centralized Lockout Tag Out (LOTO) procedure with all campus entities and determine if a group or individual LOTO procedure will be required.Commence energy isolation activities with updates on a continuous basis and ensure communication/coordination efforts are aligned with energy isolation activities on the campus.Identify and communicate to the Ryan Field and Project Management team where LOTO activities may potentially impact data center core operations.Act in coordination with Engineering, Commissioning and Subcontractor teams as a subject matter expert in all LOTO incident investigations.Participate in high-risk activity (HRA) planning meetings associated with LOTO and NFPA 70E.Ensure high-risk statements of work (SOWs), standard operating procedures (SOPs) and method of procedures (MOPs) are reviewed, and all sources of energy are identified.Ensure subcontractor's competent person has validated that personnel performing work have the qualifications, training, tools, equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for their scope of work.Generate monthly reports highlighting activities and general status of energized equipment and energy isolation program.Understand electrical theory and practical application via maintenance & operation experience with critical electrical equipment, including but not limited to paralleling switchgear, redundant uninterruptible power systems (UPS), direct current (DC) battery strings, multi-source electrical utility switchgear, diesel generators, and Electrical SCADA and Control Systems.Experience with and ensuring compliance to National Electrical Code: NFPA 70E.Experience in a critical environment setting and with industry standards as well as practices.Experience presenting complex technical solutions and concepts to engineers and non-engineers.Ability to interpret one-line drawings and system redundancies to ensure design of LOTO systems is 100% effective and in compliance with OSHA and clients standards.Experience with the Control of Hazardous Energy in complex mission critical infrastructures.Experience with the operation and maintenance of building Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) systems such as power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, security, life safety, controls systems and sprinkler systems.Knowledge of construction techniques, terminology, and documentation such as blueprints, electrical one-lines, and construction drawings.Practical experience with building management systems and automation, controls, as well as frameworks.Direct and assist in the investigation of serious accidents, major property damage and incidents with the public. Analyze investigative data and assist in the development of preventive measures to eliminate or control hazards and potential liability.Assist in the collection and review of accident and near miss root cause analysis investigations performed by equipment vendors, subcontractors, and engineering team members. Summarize incident investigation reports for final submission to stakeholders to meet strict reporting requirements.Assist with all company claims management functions, including Workers' Compensation, property, general liability, and auto insurance.Report all claims (i.e. work comp, property, auto and liability) directly to Claims Administrator and Corporate Safety Director.Assist with coordinating return-to-work.Coordinate, attend, and provide feedback at claim review meetings with insurance carrier.Assist with "light-duty" job descriptions on each project.Maintain statistical data for accidents. Assist in the preparation and submittal of accident reports as prescribed by federal, state, and local regulations.Collect, develop, and disseminate materials and information used in program development and to further safety protection training.Assist with compiling and distributing statistical reports on safety performance, accident costs and OSHA related fines.Assist with the development of appropriate databases to perform data analytics in support of operational improvement and zero incident initiatives.Participate in Corporate Safety Committee.Conduct safety and health program evaluations of construction activities and advise supervision and management of adequacy and compliance with mandatory rules and regulations.Develop and provide training and other technical support services on safety related topics for industrial projects to project supervision.Assist with implementation of company drug and alcohol testing programs.Administer and coordinate medical treatment facilities for injured workers.Provide interface with OSHA.Job Requirements:Ability to work independently and productively with others.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and/or 7 years field related experience with a focus on NFPA 70E compliance.Good working understanding of OSHA related to the construction industry.Minimum of 5-7 years of safety management experience within the construction industry.Good working knowledge of workers' compensation and claims management.Good working knowledge of 3rd party contractor management databases such as ISN & Avetta.Good oral communication skills - effectively relates to individuals or group situations.Good written skills - able to express ideas and clearly communicate ideas.Demonstrates leadership - effective in leading group or individual toward completion of tasks.Initiative - must be a self-starter and complete tasks with little supervision, take a pro-active approach and develop new and innovative solutions.OSHA 500 Authorized Construction Trainer.First Aid - CPR Certification.Weekly travel required.You will really stand out if you have:Bilingual Spanish and English.CSP, GSP, CIH, ASP, CHST Certifications Designation a plus.Ability to speak Spanish (a plus but not required).Eligibility:Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S.Must be authorized to work in the U.S.Compensation:Hourly base pay range is $47.31 - 59.11 per hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.
