Description

If so, we may have the right position for you! Our co-op is currently looking for a Wellness Supervisor for our busy customer service focused Wellness Department.

In this position you will oversee the operations of our Wellness department (supplements, herbs, health and beauty aids). We are looking for someone with experience in supervision, training, scheduling, ordering, and inventory management. Candidates should have knowledge of wellness products and possess excellent customer service skills. Herbal certification is a plus!

Requirements

Customer Service

It is the primary responsibility of every employee of the Co-op to serve our members and customers with a superior shopping experience by using excellent customer service skills. This includes, but is not limited to, friendly, helpful interactions with members and customers, a willingness to assist all customers and members find the items they are looking for no matter where they may be in the store, and to explain store policies and procedures clearly, completely and concisely to customers. Employees should also report customer suggestions, comments and complaints to appropriate management and/or to document such in a Customer Feedback Form.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise daily operation so that customers are getting the best possible experience while maintaining a high level of operating efficiencySchedule department hours within budget; track attendance; adjust staff hours based on workloadReview, edit, and approve timecards in a timely basisTake disciplinary action as needed following established policyEnsure on-the-job training using training checklists; update checklists as appropriateEnsure that Department maintains a high level of productivityAssist in cross-training staff to assure knowledge and support for department operationsFacilitate communication within the Wellness Department and participate in huddlesAssist with new hire interviews for Wellness Department staff in accordance with store policiesTrain all Wellness staffCommunicate performance concerns to Department Manager(s)Prepare evaluations for all Wellness staff and conduct performance evaluations with Department Manager or Assistant ManagerFinancial Management

Responsible for ordering and inventory managementEnsure buying for the department is within budgetSupervise Special Order processResponsible for handling damages, credits, recalls and expired product. Product must be appropriately recorded in applicable logs or taken out of physical inventory in Catapult preferably daily, but at least 4 times per week.Assist with receiving of deliveries and ensuring accurate entry of items received into CatapultReview and approve physical and digital invoicesAssist manager in achieving sales, margin and labor goals. Come up with creative solutions when goals are not being met.Maintain inventory levelsReview movement reportsParticipate in mandatory inventoriesAccurately enter new items, quantity received and par levels into Catapult, per established guidelinesMaintain a schedule for and participate in inventory counts as directed by managementMeet defined deadlines regarding outcomes with any physical variance reports either produced by the POS Manager or department designeeEstablish and follow a methodology for the auditing of discontinued items in CatapultAnalyze category sets regularly. Utilize movement reports to influence product mix.Merchandising

Ensure displays are fully stocked, rotated, and fronted to ensure freshness and abundanceEnsure proper shelf tags and sale signs are on shelves and displaysEnsure the Wellness Map is accurate and up to dateDepartment Maintenance

Ensure display areas are maintained in sanitary, orderly condition meeting or exceeding health department standardsEnsure department cleaning schedule is followedNotify management of supplies needed and equipment problems or requirementsFollow and update opening and closing checklistsMonitor temperature in Wellness coolerQualifications

Salary Description
