The HR Data & Analytics Intern position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and forward-thinking environment. Our internship program is designed to provide interns hands-on, practical experiences while working alongside some of our industry's smartest teams; as well as providing immediate value to their teams and our leaders.How you'll make an impactAssist in the design and execution of quantitative research projects to support organizational effectiveness and talent insights.

Conduct in-depth data analysis using statistical methodologies to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to talent acquisition, employee retention, and employee engagement.

Collaborate with HR teams to identify key metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of HR initiatives.

Present research findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Assist in collecting, organizing, and reporting people-related data from various sources, such as HR systems, employee surveys, and performance reviews.

Participate in data cleaning, data visualization, as well as quality checks to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports using tools like Workday, Tableau or Alteryx

Support ad hoc data analysis and reporting requests as needed

Experience you'll bringCurrently enrolled in an MA or PhD program in a field that emphasizes quantitative social science research, such as Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology, Economics, Behavioral Science, Data Science or Analytics, or a related field.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive actionable insights from data.

Familiarity with statistical concepts and data analysis techniques.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to non-technical audiences.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Basic proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization using tools like Excel. Tableau, PowerBI, or similar is required.

Preferred familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, R, and Python.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
