Penn State Greater Allegheny seeks a bilingual Admissions Counselor fluent in English and Spanish to recruit students for Penn State in the Southwestern Pennsylvania region. Penn State Greater Allegheny is a residential Commonwealth campus of Penn State University, serving students from local, national, and international communities. The campus is committed to a diverse student body, cultural inclusiveness, and equitable experiences for all students.The successful candidate will:Participate in high school visits and college fairsMaintain relationships with school counselorsManage the recruitment territory from prospect to committed studentCommunicate with students and families throughout the admissions cycleServe Spanish-speaking students and/or families across the region with the enrollment processManage communication with international applicants across the regionPlan and implement on-campus recruitment eventsRecruit, manage and train the student ambassador groupPOSITION REQUIREMENTS

While the position is based at the Greater Allegheny campus in McKeesport, PA, candidates should expect to travel throughout the Southwestern Pennsylvania region, with some evening and weekend responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Slate CRM, PeopleSoft SIS, and delivering presentations to teens and young adults. The successful candidate will possess:Strong writing and public speaking skillsAttention to detail and ability to multitaskCommitment to teamworkStrong time-management and organizational skillsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.The position also requires:PA State Police Criminal Background CheckPA Child Abuse History Clearance FormThis position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties.A valid driver's license is requiredFluency in SpanishApplications should include a cover letter, resume, and three professional references.
