RaganSmith is seeking a full-time Civil Senior Designer based in either our Nashville or Franklin office. This position is responsible for assisting or leading civil site project design and production, client coordination and communication, stormwater management design, and permitting on a wide range of residential and commercial projects. The Civil Engineer Senior Designer will collaborate in-house with licensed civil engineers, landscape architects, and land surveyors to assist our clients in developing commercial and residential projects in the public and private sectors.Responsibilities
Analyze survey plans, reports, and other data collected to design projectsForecast and adhere to project timelinesUse AutoCAD Civil 3D software to create designsCollaborate with state, local, and federal jurisdictions for permittingAdditional related duties as neededRequirements
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering2-4+ years of professional experience in site designExperience in site design, entitlements, and permitting with local jurisdictionsEffective oral and written communicationTennessee EI/EIT or ability to achieve by reciprocityPreferred Qualifications
Experience with middle Tennessee jurisdiction entitlement and zoning along with permitting processes and proceduresPrevious preparation of TDEC NOI permit applications and SWPPPsRaganSmith was founded in 1933 as a land surveying company.
