Grants and Sponsorships Manager

is primarily responsible for the execution of a grants strategy focused on raising funds and growing support over time through well-researched, persuasive, and tailored funding proposals. The Grants and Sponsorships Manager engages with foundation, corporate, and public funding sources as the lead contact, or in a supportive role, as appropriate. This position collaborates with colleagues across Compass Health teams to a.) identify programmatic needs and priorities; b.) partner in crafting compelling and accurate narratives, and c.) manage reporting and compliance.Prepares, writes, submits, and tracks funding proposals and reports that are responsive to funder guidelines, including:

Identifies and researches foundation, corporate, business, and public sector funding opportunitiesDetermines alignment between funding opportunities and Compass Health programs, services, or operational prioritiesCollects information from key colleagues to articulate program activities, anticipated outcomes, successes, challenges, financial needs, etc.Creates compelling letters of inquiry and grant proposals for submission, including assembling all required documentation and budgetsCommunicates deadlines and maintains a calendar of submitted and planned proposals and key deliverablesMonitors grant spend down and ensures compliance and reporting as required by funders

Develops tailored proposals to corporate and business prospects to secure sponsorships or underwriting support for events and campaigns.Collaborates with Director of Campaigns & Major Gifts to cultivate and steward successful funder relationships.Maintains tracking systems to document grant production workflows, as well as specific funder/prospect deadlines, major contacts, action items, and outcomes.Attends development and proposal-related meetings and events.Represents Compass Health at relevant community and networking events.What you will bring with youBA Degree in a related field.2+ years of relevant work experience in nonprofit fundraising including grant research, writing, and reporting. 3-5 years of experience preferred.Demonstrated skills in successful grant writing for non-profit organizations.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Experience with donor management software (such as Donor Perfect, Little Green Light, Microsoft CRM).Valid Washington State Driver’s License including vehicle and appropriate insurance, if applicable.What you will be sharingDemonstrated superior communication skills; written, verbal, and face-to-face.Ability to work calmly, effectively, and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced, high-production, and high-pressure environment.Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to relate effectively and sensitively to a wide range of community members and professionals.Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems.Demonstrated organizational skills with an emphasis on prioritization and attention to detail.General computer proficiency, including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check, which may or may not include an additional search by DSHS.What we offerAs the region’s largest non-profit community behavioral healthcare organization, we have been serving our clients and our communities for over 110 years.
