Want to practice exiting small animal medicine with a fantastic team at the base of a breathtaking, world-famous mountain? Mt. Shasta Animal Hospital is looking for a veterinarian to join our three-doctor practice. Located at the foot of beautiful Mount Shasta, we are a large, free-standing veterinary facility that was expanded and modernized in 2016.What makes us special? We have seasoned doctors, three very experienced, talented, and dedicated RVTs, and a team of assistants and receptionists committed to learning and growing in their positions. We strongly believe in training, CE opportunities, and mentorship for our support staff, recently helping our assistants achieve Veterinary Assistant Level I and Level II certifications.Our hospital features Idexx in-house lab equipment, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, laser therapy, and both in-house and online pharmacies.We believe that the best medicine goes hand-in-hand with a healthy hospital culture. We have gorgeous waterfalls, rivers, and Shasta Lake nearby. Hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, and all kinds of outdoor adventures are at your fingertips, including easy access to skiing and winter sports in the snowy season. The city of Mt. Shasta is rich in history and bustling with locals and international tourists. We have an amazing weekly Farmer’s Market downtown that hosts live music and locally grown food every Monday.We invite candidates interested in a Medical Director role but are also open to motivated associate DVMs of all experience levels. Ideally, we are looking for someone three to four days a week, one of which would be a surgery day.Our hospital is open Monday-Friday 8 am – 6 pm. We are currently closed Saturdays; depending on staffing, we may re-open in the future. We are closed Sundays and don’t offer emergency on-call.Must be a licensed DVM (or have the ability to become licensed) in the state of California.
