Summary/Objective:
Responsible for utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) and various software to model, coordinate and prepare detailed drawings for mechanical systems.
Essential Functions:
Generates mechanical pipe models using the designated project specifications, design drawings and models, control diagrams, submittals, RFIs, and modeling software.
Incorporates and manages current updates to drawings, models, specifications, RFIs, change orders, and submittals as the project progresses.
Collaborates with the build and design team to eliminate construction errors due to design flaws.
Manages time and multiple projects in a fast-paced deadline environment.
Works with trades, project management, site superintendents, and shop personnel to identify problems and help make informed decisions.
Generates and communicates information for RFIs specific to the projects and trade.
Generates and manages spools, drawings for prefabrication, site installation/map drawings, and control documentation.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required:
5-7 years of experience in the mechanical piping and process pipe trade and/or equivalent combination of vocational training OR 5+ years of BIM experience using Revit, Fabrication of CAD MEP, and Navisworks Manage.
Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e., DMV, criminal history).
Must adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Must be available to work assigned schedules.
The work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following:
Work Environment:
Works in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
Position may require visits to construction site.
Physical Demands:
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Travel:
May require infrequent travel (typically not overnight).
Preferred:
Prior military experience.
HS diploma or GED equivalent.
