Anesthesiologist needed near Evansdale, IA starting ASAP. Specific shifts available through the end of the year.Dates of coverage: Specific dates TBD, but need will be ongoing sporadic coverage. Local providers strongly preferred due to sporadic need.Schedule: 7a - 5p. Locums rarely take call, but it's a possibility.Reason for need: physician left, provider shortageEMR: CernerProcedures: General surgical adult and pediatric cases. No neonatal. Minor nerve blocks, IV regional anesthesia, spinal, epidural, OB, Neuro is basic bread and butter with 95% spine. Thoracic and vascular some thoracoscopy maybe ab fistula but no aorta surgeries and no complicated vascular or complex orthopedic.Average number of surgical cases per day: 4-6Will the Locum Physician be Required to Supervise CRNAs? (Please Explain): No, there is one CRNA that is supervised by the physician who is on first callTrauma level 3Number of Anesthesiologists in Practice: 12 Anesthesiologists and 1 CRNAWill the Locum Tenens Physician be Responsible for Preparing the Anesthesia Cart? NoAll ages, for Peds it is mostly ENT - tubes & tonsilsNumber of Operating Rooms: Usually 9 rooms running at one timeDo You Require Fellowship Training for Cardiac or Pediatric Cases? NoLocal providers strongly preferred due to sporadic ongoing coverage.
