At UCLA Health outpatient pharmacy, you cando all this and more.Underthe direction of the staff pharmacist and pharmacy supervisor, the Pharmacytechnician assists in all technical aspects of prescription filling anddispensing activities, within the scope of their license. Duties includeprocessing, filling and dispensing prescriptions as well as inventorymanagement, medication delivery at bedside, prior authorization, TARs SARs,Mailout process, medication reconciliation and other duties as assigned.Schedule:Varied hours, depending on department needs, including weekends and holidaysHourlySalary Range: $26.55 - 32.36 (Union represented, step based salary depending onyears of experience)BargainingUnit: EX - AFSCMEQualifications
We'reseeking a dedicated professional with:CaliforniaPharmacy Technician LicenseAbilityto work independently and follow-through on assignments with minimalsupervisionCustomerservice, and problem solving skillsKnowledgeof medical terminology, pharmaceutical abbreviations, pharmaceuticalgeneric/trade names and their dosage forms, and the ability to cross-referencecommon drugs from memoryIntenseand consistent concentration with attention to detail, and requires speed andaccuracyTelephoneand verbal skills required to communicate clearly and effectively withpharmacists, nurses, physicians and other allied health professionalsAbilityto frequently required to stand, sit, and walkAbilityto lift 25 lbs and push 50 lbs
