Job Description

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor: (1) packages various products into the proper containers; (2) ensures each container is filled to the proper level per the production schedule and on time; (3) prior to filling, prepares packaging containers and cartons using the packaging ticket; (4) ensures product is Quality Control approved prior to dispensing; (5) affixes correct batch number on the products; (6) maintains packaging equipment condition and ensures proper operation; (7) compiles and reports accurate production counts.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesA.Dispense products accurately into proper containers as scheduled and on time.Complete daily production requirements by following applicable production packaging schedule.Using the packaging ticket, conduct pre-packaging verification by confirming appropriate pails, lids, labels, cartons, and batch codes prior to filling.Inspect and clean filling and packaging equipment after each batch, or as required.Ensure standard line flushing procedures are accomplished, as required.Accurately document quantities packaged.After each batch, return unused packaging materials to their proper storage location.Document, on the packaging ticket, any damaged packaging materials prior to disposal.Keep assigned work area clean.B.HousekeepingMaintain a clean and safe work area, facility, and equipment by following routine housekeeping standards.Cap or plug hose, plumbing fittings and pour heads when not in use.Equipment must be cleaned of adhesive after each batch.Clean up overfill situations immediately.Place scrap cardboard, shrink wrap and banding material in trash receptacles.Sweep and mop work areas as needed and at the end of each shift. Rinse mop heads and mop buckets and return to the proper storage area after each use.Return cleaning equipment to assigned area after each use.Maintain assigned hand tools free of adhesive.C.Safety

Maintain a safe working environment by following the W. F. Taylor "Safety Rules and Guidelines" and the "Code of Safe Practices" as defined in the "Employee Safety Handbook", and by Company policy.D.Other DutiesParticipate in physical inventories and cycle counting.Contribute to team effort, i.e., assisting in any area required, etc.Minimum Requirements

A. Education/ExperienceHigh School diploma or G.E.D preferredCurrent forklift certification training preferredValid state driver's license, with a good driving record preferred (Driver's license required if driving forklift)B. Skills

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
