Overview:

Night Shift Compensation wage: Min: $35.55 Max: $54.79 Employer paid benefits; medical, dental, and vision.

DEFINITION OF POSITION

:

Cares and treats all patients with respiratory cardiac illness. Works assigned schedule.Responsibilities:Essential job functions:Sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be used in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness. May work with adult, pediatric and neonatal patient populations.We use Hamiltons as ventilators, NIV and HiFlow.

We use Epic as our EMR.

We do 12-Lead EKGs after hours and weekends (MAC 15 carts).

We attend all c-sections and high-risk deliveries.

We attend all Code Blue, Rapid Response, Trauma calls and Code Stroke calls.

We may be asked to go with intubated patients on ground transports.

Core staffing is 2 therapists 24/7/365.

Physical Demands: Including but not limited to prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking. Pushes/pulls or moves/equipment. Lifts heavy supplies up to 25 pounds frequently. Occasionally you will need to lift items up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions: May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases. Regularly exposed to the risk of blood borne diseases. Exposed to hazardous anesthetic agents, body fluids and waste.

Qualifications:Required Qualifications:Current, unencumbered Oregon State Respiratory Care License.

Minimum of an associate degree from a respiratory therapy education program supported or accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).

Current BLS, PALS, NRP and ACLS required at time of hire or completed within 90 days of hire.

Must pass pre-hire physical demands testing

Ability to work with culturally diverse population.

Preferred qualifications:B.S. Respiratory Care

Two years of clinical experience including all ages of patients

Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking.
