Role and Responsibilities

This position serves as a general laborer and jobsite support when needed.• Load and unload all construction or electrical supplies delivered by truckload.• Ensure proper handling to prevent damage to materials.• Organize and deliver the material to the designated area onsite.• Assist electricians and personnel onsite with gathering materials as requested.• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.• Keep worksites and designated areas cleaned and organized from debris, trash or safety hazards.• May be required to operate machinery or utilize tools under supervision or as per training.• Complete other assigned tasks as requested

Qualifications and Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent; Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers; Strong attention to detail is mandatory; Trade School certification for mechanics/power tool repair desired or equivalent on the job experience.

Work Environment

This job operates in a field environment. This position may be involved in construction or maintenance and will usually work a 40-hour, five-day week plus overtime when required. Working conditions can change dramatically depending on the time of year and the current workload of projects. Exposure to contaminants and exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable is a possibility.

Physical DemandsThis is largely an active role. Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials; Requires repetitive movement; climbing ladders, scaffolds, or poles; standing, walking, and running; using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls; and bending or twisting.

Preferred SkillsOSHA 10• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor tasks.• Familiarity with construction and electrical materials and tools preferred.• Basic understanding of safety procedures and protocols.• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Additional Notes

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm; Early arrival and/or overtime may be necessary.
