*Pennsylvania Hospital is in search for an ED Transporter to work 11a-7p and 3p-11p depending on needs of the department. Weekend availability also required.*

Summary:

This position supports the transportation of patients, lab specimens, blood products, and supplies, throughout the institution in a safe and efficient manner. In addition, this position also handles the stocking of materials in patient areas and the distribution of supplies and patient equipment within the Emergency Department.Responsibilities:

Provide safe and timely transportation of patients, specimens, pharmaceuticals, and supplies throughout the institution.Assist hospital personnel with the movement of patients as needed for transportation.Adheres to the use of appropriate personal protective equipment when transporting patients as required.Maintains the departmental supply room in a well-organized and clean state.Maintains appropriate supply levels in the supply room and patient areas.Exemplifies excellent hospitality towards patient, visitors, physicians and co-workers as outlined in the Service Excellence Standards.Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.Education or Equivalent Experience:
