Innophos is seeking a Packager at our Waterway location in Chicago. The right candidate will be responsible for overall efficient operation of the position including safety, quantity, quality, housekeeping, record keeping, environmental, etc.

Responsibilities

Observes and operates all equipment and instrumentation, troubleshoots, adjusts equipment, cleans equipment and records data on appropriate logs and spreadsheets, as well as in E1 systemSelects, prepares, fills, samples, weighs and moves a variety of packages and containers as required for the proper packaging of productMoves pallets, containers and equipment throughout a restricted space using a forkliftEnters work orders in JOE as neededShift & Wages:

Rotating Shift - 1st shift (6:30 am-2:30 pm), 2nd shift (2:30 pm-10:30pm), 3rd shift (10:30 pm-6:30 am) Monday - SundayInitially assigned to 1st shift for trainingRequired to rotate between all 3 shifts - shift premium applied on 2nd and 3rd shiftsAlternative work schedules may be required based on site business needsWages start at $29.02 / hour in accord with the labor contractEligible for overtime pay on hours worked that exceed 8/day and 40/weekBi-weekly paid on Friday'sBenefits:

Required Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent2 years of related production operator experience in a manufacturing settingMust be a licensed lift truck operator and able to operate spotter tractorRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Computer literacyCapable of accurately completing log sheets/reports (both paper and electronic), understanding written material, performing basic mathematics and making appropriate transactions in E1Demonstrates knowledge of process flow description (PFD), key process control points, process description, rounds sheets and data sheets, analytical specifications and their control; all relevant job analyses and appropriate troubleshootingDemonstration of knowledge in requirements and responsibilities including written and oral testing along with physical operation of equipment to meet minimum standards of acceptabilityAbility to self-identify and request training related to job duties as neededMust have a good attendance record and be available to work changing shifts and schedulesAbility to follow Good Manufacturing Practices including the proper wearing of clean protective clothing, following personal hygiene standards, and adherence to food/drink/tobacco restrictionsEnvironmental
