Playback Rewards is seeking a skilled and motivated
Entry to Mid-level TypeScript Developer
to join our startup team of games industry veterans to help build a powerful and scalable video game rewards platform. In this role, you will join our experienced development team where you'll build and maintain web applications and features in TypeScript/JavaScript and serverless architectures on AWS or Google Cloud. The ideal candidate is driven to learn and solve problems.

Key responsibilities:
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.Coordinate with development and design teams to develop applications that are aligned with specifications and run on numerous platforms.Contribute to the development of technical specifications and architecture plans.Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members and ensuring code quality and consistency.Identify opportunities to enhance our technology and innovate.Requirements:
1+ years of experience in professional web developmentExperience with multiple TypeScript and JavaScript projectsFamiliarity with modern web technologies, frameworks, and tools (e.g., React, Node.js, Express, etc.)Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming conceptsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a teamA willingness to learn, adapt, and be mentored in new technologies and practicesStrong communication and teamwork skillsStrong time management skills, organized, self driven, and highly productiveExperience with source control (e.g., Git)Preferred experience to highlight in your application:
BS in Computer Science, Bootcamp Certification (or equivalent foundational technical experience)Experience with cloud architecture on GCP, Azure, or AWSExperience implementing CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processesExperience working in sprint and agile-like development methodologiesExperience with ticketing systems like Jira, Trello or ClickUpExperience with AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions, or Azure FunctionsExperience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, FirestoreExperience with FirebaseExperience creating cross-platform optimized and scalable user experiencesExperience with CSS, animation frameworks, and responsive designExperience working with and/or managing external developer partners

is building a loyalty rewards program and game discoverability platform for gamers. We are a remote first company headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. You'll join a passionate, early-stage team of industry veterans who are looking to make a big impact in the global video games industry.

We offer a competitive salary of $70-$85k per year depending on experience; 4 weeks of flexible paid time off and company holidays; comprehensive health, dental, vision insurance (all 50% company paid); and a 401k (with 4% company match).
