Job Overview:

The Systems Technician installs new electrical systems and repairs existing electrical systems while maintaining compliance with national, state and local electrical codes.

Key Responsibilities and Essential TasksProgram, commission and start-up of Low Voltage systems including but not limited to (Fire Alarm, Security, Access Control and Surveillance)Installation and testing of low voltage devices, wiring and rough-inSupervises, directs, monitors, trains and works alongside helpers, installers, telecom techs or electriciansInstructs employees assisting them in the correct operation of tools and equipment, safe work principles and technical principles that are being usedProvides input on employee evaluationsCompletes all assignment-related paperwork accurately and in a timely mannerAttends all foreman meetingsRegular, reliable, predictable attendance with minimal loss of work timeCollaborates with Fire Marshal on project final inspectionsEffectively trouble shoot and diagnose installation and programming issues.Identifies, schedules and facilitates all jobsite related inspections with Customer and Field Service ManagerWhat's in it for You?

Rex Moore pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employee's knowledge, experience and skill level.

Work environment:

Active commercial job site under construction performing the following:

Wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE), always including a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, work boots and high viz vest/ shirtWorking around energized equipmentWorking days, night, weekends, and overtime as requiredWilling and able to work in confined and/or small spacesConstant collaboration with fellow team membersThis role requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain & snowEOE

Holds current Fire Life Safety cardHolds current ACE cardDemonstrates proficiency in all aspects of fire alarm, security, access control and surveillance products and servicesEffectively communicates with managers, sales, foremen, general contractors and customersDemonstrates good initiative and keeps organized & busy throughout the work day.Strong mechanical aptitudeEST Certified PreferredNICET Certification PreferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
