Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Security Specialist with our client in the financial industry located in Austin, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Responsibilities:Implementing and operating IT security solutions to ensure the infrastructure is secureWell-versed in best practice and regularly interface with client GIS team for latest guidance, recommendations and requirementsWill be consulted regularly and provide research and decisions on security-related items in support of our applicationsAssists in the development, testing and implementation of security plans, products and control techniquesCoordinates the reporting data security incidentsProvides technical support to client and management and staff in risk assessments and implementation of appropriate data security procedures and productsExecutes security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-commerce programsResearches attempted efforts to compromise security protocolsAdministers security policies to control access to systems and maintains the company firewallWorks on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factorsExercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutionsUses and applies basic technical principles, concepts and techniques
Requirements:
3-5 years of IT experienceStrong understanding of various IT infrastructure components such as networking, servers, and securityWorked with scanning and reporting products (McAfee, ESM, Qualys, Tanium, etc.)Strong understanding of information security and best practicesStrong communication skillsExperience with TippingPoint IDSExperience with proxy management (BlueCoat, McAfee Web Gateway, etc.)Experience with certificate managementExperience with HSMsExperience with pen-testing and vulnerability scanning
Pay Range:
$67.36-$75.36
