Hitachi Energy Transformers- Business Solutions IT Organization is seeking a Application Specialist who will provide overall support to the Global BST IT team to drive value and business growth to the business for NAM Hub.
Your Responsibilities:Involved in the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of IT solutions/services where application knowledge is needed.Application and software design, in order to provide product solutions for specific business needs • Identify, propose, advise and implement existing IT application technology and IT solutions/services, sharing knowledge and -depending on seniority - guiding others on implementation and operation, using understanding of existing IT application technology and business requirements.Manage/ support the entire process of building applications, from the design process, to creating, testing and rolling out the applicationDesign a product solution in line with specifications given by Solution Architect, Application Manager and business usersImplement application and provide support services for usersProvide trainings for the business usersLiving Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your Experience:
2-3 years of experience in IT Applications Management and Service Delivery in multinational companiesExperience and ability to work with virtual delivery teams as well as distributed stakeholdersBachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or business managementExperience in one or more coding languages (e.g. VB.Net, C#, MS SQL, HTML, JavaScript)Experience with development platforms (e.g. Azure, Visual Studio + DevOps. Microsoft Power Apps, GitHub)Experience with functional domain where the application belongs to. (e.g. Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing and Sales)Understanding of software development lifecyclesStrong ability to understand context for code, the codebase, and its relation to business objectives.Exceptional analytical abilities for navigating intricate data structures.Demonstrated excellence in project management.Understanding of end-to-end business processes from Sales to Manufacturing.Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
