Air Freight Export Agent / Specialist
you will be responsible for the movement of our customer's air export shipments. You will coordinate and be the main point of contact for our outbound Air Export shipments from initial customer contact to final destination.Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and ensure timely bookings with airline on customer behalfPrepares export documentation, including entry into computer operations program, in accordance to country requirementsPreparation of Certificate of Origin, Cargo Manifest, NAFTA Certificate, AWB, ITAR, Hazardous Material, Perishable, and any otherdocuments required by the customerCompliant filing of AES (automated export system) with US customsResponsible for timely completion of export documents and coordinate with both customer, warehouse, airlines, gateway operations, anddispatch for timely movement of cargoOngoing communication with customer and overseas offices in regards to shipment movementFollow-up with airline to keep track of departure information and updatesResponsible for file level profitabilityAudit charges for accuracy prior to sending to accounting for paymentConfirm payment responsibility (depending on terms) and audit credit status if neededEnsure customer profiles are accurate and updatedOther duties as assignedSkills / Requirements:Exceptional customer service skillsDetail oriented and strong follow-up skillsProficient with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferredProficient with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferredMinimum of 2 years of Logistics / Freight forwarding industry experience preferredLogis Air / Cargo Wise systems knowledge is a plusHazmat certification is a plusBenefits
