Corporate Support; 109 Northpark Blvd., Covington, LA 70433Job Summary:The Logistics Support Coordinator will support the international logistics function focusing on essential administrative and operational tasks and activities. Work requires a working level knowledge of domestic and international logistics.Responsibilities:Audits and processes 3rd party transportation and other services invoices to ensure costs and terms are according to the service agreement and/or quotations.Monitors promptness of documentation receipts, validates accuracy and quality of input.Verifies via statement of account that all 3rd party providers payments stay current.Handles service providers' inquiries regarding payment issues, including invoice inconsistencies, payment disputes and others.Maintains a purchase order database of shipping and import documentation.Extracts and analyzes reports from different data sources as required by management.Promptly gathers and provides documents to the appropriate service providers, including shipment delivery orders, dangerous goods declarations (DGDs), Invoices, etc. to ensure on-time delivery of all import shipments.Closely monitors tracking reports from freight forwarders to ensure quality and accuracy of input.Assists with additional tasks such as shipment tracking, container delivery coordination, freight quoting, etc.Works closely with Global Logistics Analyst to ensure accurate reporting of shipment status and costs.Participates in continuous improvement processes and initiatives.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years' experience in import/export logisticsClear understanding of import logisticsStrong Microsoft suite skills (intermediate-advanced Excel skills required)Ability to combine and utilize professional experience, processes, and systems to support internal and external customersAbility to effectively solve common shipping problemsAbility to work independently and in a virtual environmentIntegrity, sense of urgency, acute attention to detail, proactivenessBilingual, Military, Military Spouses and Veteran applicants are strongly encouraged to apply!
