Tow Truck Operator

America's Auto Auction is seeking a reliable and skilled Flat Bed Tow Truck Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles using a flatbed tow truck. The role involves interacting with customers, performing vehicle recoveries, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the tow truck.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a flatbed tow truck to transport vehicles to designated locations.Perform vehicle recoveries from auction, recovery yards, and storage facilities.Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tow truck to ensure it is in good working condition.Secure vehicles onto the flatbed using appropriate techniques and equipment to prevent damage.Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers to provide efficient service and meet deadlines.Maintain accurate records of towing services, including vehicle details and destination information.Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on the tow truck as needed.Provide excellent customer service and resolve any issues or concerns professionally.Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.2+ Previous experience as a tow truck operator or in a similar role is required.Skills and Qualifications:
Strong understanding of vehicle recovery techniques and flatbed tow truck operation.Ability to operate a tow truck safely and efficiently in various weather and traffic conditions.Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.Good problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and securing vehicles.Familiarity with vehicle types and basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).Ability to work in varying weather conditions.Must be able to sit, stand, and maneuver in and around vehicles for extended periods.Working Conditions:
M-F 8a-5pm with occasional OT as necessaryPotential for exposure to hazardous conditions such as inclement weather.Compensation:
