We are seeking a knowledgeable and innovative Technical Specialist - Behavioral Science to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. This role involves applying behavioral science principles to support the planning, development, and implementation of projects aimed at enhancing community resilience and mitigating risks.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:Conduct behavioral assessments to understand community behaviors and attitudes towards risk and resilience.Develop programs and interventions based on behavioral science to promote community resilience and effective disaster risk reduction.Collect and analyze data on community behaviors, attitudes, and perceptions to inform project planning and implementation.Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including planners, engineers, and community engagement specialists, to integrate behavioral science insights into project designs and plans.Engage with community stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate their feedback into behavioral science interventions.Provide training and educational resources to community members and stakeholders on behavioral science principles and their application in disaster risk reduction.Develop communication materials that effectively convey behavioral science concepts and promote desired behaviors within the community.Evaluate the effectiveness of behavioral science interventions and report on outcomes and impacts.Ensure all activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations and standards.Skills:

Work Environment:
This position is open to candidates nationwide and is remote with site work as required by customer.
Compensation:
The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $59,000-130,000/year. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. SRE considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Additionally, SRE adheres to all state and federal requirements regarding salary to ensure compliance with applicable labor laws. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of SRE's total compensation package for employees.
