Our client in the Pittsburgh area is looking to hire a Major Account Manager. They will be responsible for overseeing all sales activities related to a key global data center services provider. A successful candidate will manage and grow the relationship with this high-profile account, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving revenue growth through effective account management and sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for a major global data center services provider. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.Sales Leadership: Drive the sales process from initial contact through closing. Develop and execute strategic account plans, including identifying opportunities for growth within the account and expanding product offerings.Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure products, including power systems, cooling systems, monitoring software, racks, PDUs, and related services. Be able to articulate the value proposition of these solutions to the customer.Customer Engagement: Regularly meet with key stakeholders within the customer's organization to understand their challenges and needs. Provide technical expertise and consultative advice to align our solutions with their business objectives.Revenue Growth: Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and contribute to the company's overall revenue goals. Identify and capitalize on upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the account.Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product management, engineering, and customer support, to ensure the successful delivery of solutions and services to the customer. Collaborate on proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations.Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive products, and market developments. Use this information to inform account strategies and drive continuous improvement in sales approaches.Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on account status, sales forecasts, and customer feedback. Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions in CRM systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, with a focus on data center infrastructure or related industries.Proven track record of managing and growing key accounts, particularly within the data center or IT infrastructure sectors.Strong understanding of data center infrastructure components, including power, cooling, and monitoring systems.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Experience with CRM software and other sales management tools.Willingness to travel as needed to meet with the customer and attend industry events.
