Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

Roles & Responsibilities
Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis.Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment.Monitor, record and communicate patient condition.Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.Respond to emergency resuscitation team code.QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)National Institutes of Health (NIH)Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) CertificationSound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.The ability to stand for extended periods.Strong technical skills.Knowledge of medical terminologyPassionate about patient careRequires a minimum of two years of Respiratory Therapy experience.Graduate from a fully accredited Respiratory Therapy programActive unencumbered Respiratory Therapy state licenseRequirements

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.Participates in relevant continuing education programs.Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
