Prepares surfaces and applies paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings and other structures. Installs and repairs wall coverings as needed, as well as minor carpentry wall and ceiling repairs. Responsible for the maintenance and inventory of painting and related supplies. Must be available for flexible hours as needed.Paints, varnishes, stains, etc. existing and new surfaces inside and outside the hospital buildings and properties as directed.Applies scratch coat and finish plaster to walls for painting; installs backing material (i.e., metal lath) into areas to be plastered; seals surfaces prior to painting; cleans walls to ensure proper adherence.Selects premixed paints, stains, and other finish coatings or prepares paints, stains, and other finish coatings to match specified colors or finishes by blending or mixing required proportions of pigment, oil, thinning and drying substances.Uses ladders and scaffolding as required and installs and repairs wall coverings as needed.Prepares surfaces and applies paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings and other structures. Must be available for flexible hours as needed.Fills holes, cracks, and joints with putty, spackle, caulking or other filler; applies paint to surfaces including walls, floors, doors, and cabinets.Completes hospital rounds to identify and resolve regulatory compliance deficiencies.Works with and assists department trades as needed, and performs other hospital maintenance duties as assigned.HS Diploma or equivalent preferred; Previous related experience preferredCovid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jeffersonrsquo;s clinical entities or at the University.
