Dover Behavioral Health System is seeking a
Psychiatrist
to assist in Patient Care by assessing, diagnosing and treating mental, emotional and behavioral disorders.
Job Responsibilities:
Assessment and Diagnosis : Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health conditions, including diagnosing psychiatric disorders based on observation, interviews, and medical history review. Treatment Planning and Implementation : Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, which may include medication management, psychotherapy, and other therapeutic interventions. Implement and oversee the execution of these treatment plans. Patient Monitoring and Care Coordination : Monitor patients' progress throughout their stay in the inpatient facility, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on observed changes or responses to treatment. Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Crisis Intervention and Support : Provide crisis intervention services to patients experiencing acute psychiatric distress or behavioral crises, including de-escalation techniques and emergency medication administration when necessary. Offer emotional support and guidance to patients and their families throughout the treatment process.
