Our services span the full continuum of care for patients, with a variety of roles and opportunities for job-seekers looking for more than a job, but a place where you can grow in your career.Responsibilities:Diagnoses and provides treatment for people with psychiatric disorders, substance use disorders and medical problems.Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Leads the interdisciplinary team supporting PrairieCares treatment programs and philosophyAssures the delivery of quality treatment to adults, adolescents, children, psychiatric, and substance use disorder patients, and their families consistent with Medical Staff privileges grantedServices may be in delivered in the hospital, partial hospital, intensive outpatient, outpatient or residential programsBe familiar with follow-up resource services available to adults, adolescents, and childrenConducting individual and family therapyQualifications:

Licensed by the State of Minnesota to practice medicine. Must have successfully completed an accredited Postgraduate Training Residency. Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.Ablity to maintain required medical staff privileges and malpractice insuranceKnowledgeable about adult, adolescent, and child psychiatric disorders, and advanced principles of abnormal psychologyAbility to maintain information as highly confidentialAbility to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical record documentationHave computer skills using Microsoft Office products including OutlookAbility to access and use intranet site as necessaryAbility to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasksAbility to communicate well both verbally and in writingAbility to react quickly and calmly as part of a team to handle volatile and potentially emergency situationsAbility to make effective decisions while in stressful situations and circumstancesAfter training, be able to manage disruptive and explosive patients.DEA requiredPrairieCare is a psychiatric healthcare system experiencing rapid growth in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota.
