*This is a hybrid role (2x per week in office) supporting EST hours and can sit in either our Atlanta, GA or Akron, OH offices.

OverviewA DBA IV is a vital member of the DBA Team. You will be involved in the management, deployment, and monitoring of database systems while ensuring security and a high level of data availability. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, timely solutions and services through the full lifecycle, including development, testing, and implementation.You will be working on a team in fast-paced environment and will take the initiative to explore, experiment new technologies to find the right solution and mentor other members of the DBA team. To be successful, we are looking for a friendly, hard-working, positive person with a true passion for solving problems with technology.

ResponsibilitiesWrite;- Solid queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers- Administrative utilities to automate routine tasks- Develop ETL processes- Automation scripts for building non-prod and prod environments on AzureEnsure;- SQL queries are efficient and are scalable on production environment- Accurate database indexing, archiving, reporting, and automation- SQL coding standards are followed by each team member- CI-CD is fully functional and reliable in all environments including AzureMentor more junior database administrators and software engineersProvide leadership, technical guidance, and best practices to the solution design process and to other team membersWork closely with the IT, DevOps and Cloud team to support infrastructure enhancements and maintenanceParticipate in periodic performance reporting, record performance metrics, analyze drifts based on known baseline data, trend analysis to support in growth monitoring and capacity planningImplement and maintain database security, including database encryption, data masking and securing backupsCoordinate, monitor and manage all nightly data services jobsMonitor database operations and performance using native and 3rd-party toolsTroubleshoot data-related issues while maintaining data integrity and accuracyDocument changes and follows existing processes, code, data flows and other key functionsParticipate in continuous improvement efforts in enhancing database performance and providing increased functionality, including performing maintenance, monitoring activity, and documenting problems, changes, and solutionsWork on scheduled rotation involving after-hours tasks and routinesSkills

8 years or more of experience in a database administration/data engineering roleExperienced in production monitoring and troubleshoot (Production support lead)Strong experience in Azure SQL databasesWriting stored procedures, queries, functions, and triggers in T-SQLExperience in the full software development lifecycleWorking with cloud technologies (plus for Microsoft Azure)Experience in Agile software development methodologyStrong communication and collaboration skillsBachelor's Degree in a relevant major or equivalent years of experiencePluses

Experience in infrastructure layout, provisioning, Azure cloud infrastructure with reference to provisioning, security, and managementExperience in B2B product developmentExperience in designing multi-tenant SaaS database schema
